Optimising Businesses Online Using Twitter
作者:sky 日期:2011-08-07 15:09:37
A couple of weeks ago I posted a blog called ‘Social Network: Snog, Marry, Avoid?‘ in which I highlighted some of the potential pro’s and con’s that become apparent when a social network is used to promote a business. I thought it might be valuable to revisit some of the concepts addressed in that article in more detail; specifically Twitter and its value as an Inbound Marketing tool.
As someone who admittedly isn’t the most business savvy person in the world, Inbound Marketing does sound dangerously like corporate jargon – but it really is quite a simple concept. It is the practice of reaching out to potential business clients, or market leaders through a number of methods, including producing high quality content. This is the opposite of Outbound Marketing (or push marketing), which is focused on pushing people towards a business through techniques such as cold-calling.
Analogy time…

The most popular tasks were e-mail (89%), online banking (61%) and television (45%).
